Marija Znidarsic

Mass of Christian Burial for Marija Znidarsic (nee Zgonc) age 89 of Kirtland,  will be held 11 a.m Wednesday April 8, 2015 at Divine Word Church 8100 Eagle Rd. Kirtland, OH followed by burial in All Souls Cemetery.

Mrs. Znidarsic passed away March 29, 2015 at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord.

She was born in Sernjak, Slovenia and emigrated to the USA in 1960 and lived in Willowick before moving to Kirtland  36 years ago. Marija was employed by Fisher Body in Euclid as a seamstress for 24 years retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Slovenska Pristava Pensioners, KSKJ St. Christine’s Lodge and the UAW Local 1045.  She loved taking care of her family by cooking and baking her Slovenian recipes for them, gardening and farming.

She is survived by her sons Stanley Jr. (Laura) and Henry (Patricia); grandchildren Stan III (Tracy), Melissa (Jim) Robinette, Jessica, Anthony and Nicholas; great-grandchildren Maya, Sebastian and Ryan; siblings Ivanka Hrastar and France Zgonc and many nieces and nephews in Slovenia.  She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Sr. and siblings Ivan Zgonc and Ancka Zakrajsek.

Family will receive friends 4-8 p.m Tuesday evening at the Zevnik-Cosic Funeral Home 28890 Chardon Rd. Willoughby Hills, OH.
