Marie Spaulding

MARIE C. SPAULDING (nee Gauthier) age 90, beloved wife of the late Norman; loving mother of Suzanne,  Michael (wife Maggie) and David Spaulding (wife Michaelene) and Julianne McKinzie (husband Doug); devoted grandmother of Matthew Spaulding (wife Chrystie), Marty Spaulding (wife Kim), Rachel and Mark McKinzie and the late Mitchell Spaulding and great-grandmother of Alyssandra and Eryk; dearest sister of Raymond Gauthier (wife Anna, deceased), Charles Gauthier (wife Gloria), and the late Gerard Gauthier (wife Helen, deceased), Gaston Gauthier (wife Mabel), Marcel Gauthier (wife Lorraine, deceased), Yvonne Moran (husband Frank); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Marie was born on January 3, 1927 in Dearborn, Michigan and passed away on May 28, 2017. She was a resident of Mayfield Heights and a member of Church of the Savior since 2014. Marie previously resided in Shaker Heights and Florida. She graduated from High School in Michigan and received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. Marie worked as a RN in Michigan and Chicago. She was known as a caregiver for several members of her family. Marie loved gardening, needle work, acting in amateur theatre, card playing, Bible Study class and continuing Educational Seminars. She will be remembered most as a positive, energetic, compassionate and caring woman who was full of life. Marie was a lovely, witty, charming and gracious lady with a feisty spirit. She will be dearly missed.

Contributions may be made in memory of Marie to Church of the Saviour. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Celebration of Life Service in memory of Marie will take place Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 1 PM at Church of the Saviour 2537 Lee Rd., Cleveland Heights.
