Marie Schroll

MARIE SCHROLL (nee Jager) age 95, beloved wife for 54 years of Frank Schroll and formerly the late Frank Grajzl, whom she was married 11 years; loving mother of Dan (Laura) Grajzl; devoted grandmother of Daniel, David, Vanessa, and Tommy; cherished daughter of the late Frank and Terezija (nee Ipcek) Jager; dearest sister of Millie (Frank) Jesenko, and the late Frank and Joe Jager.

Marie was born on May 12, 1928, in Slovenia where she met her first husband Frank, who blessed her with her only son, Dan. The two immigrated to the United States and cherished the time they had as a family before Frank grew ill and passed away. It was in 1970 that Marie was blessed with her second husband Frank whom she shared in many of life’s adventures with. Marie had a great appreciation for her Slovenian heritage, which was evident through the many dishes she would prepare, and her love for singing and dancing. She also enjoyed gardening both vegetables and flowers, to which she truly admired. To say she was social would be an understatement, as she had many friends and continued to make friends with everyone she met.  Above all things, Marie loved becoming a grandma when she was blessed with four grandchildren. On January 11, 2024, with family by her side, Marie was called to rest. Her love and easy nature will be missed but carry on through the memories shared.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 11:30 AM, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 401 North St, Chardon, OH 44024.

Burial following at All Souls Cemetery.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Marie at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) WEDNESDAY from 4-7 PM.
