Marie Rucinski

MARIE RUCINSKI (nee Gainard), age 91. Beloved wife of the late Leonard L.; loving mother of Richard (wife Patti); devoted grandmother of Richard Rucinski, Jr (wife Michelle) and Nathaniel Rucinski and great-grandmother to Caitlyn and Emma; cherished daughter of the late Marcel and Marie Louise (nee Rallier) Gainard; aunt of many. Marie was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.

Marie met her husband Leonard during WWII in France and married him in 1947. They also moved to the US that year. Marie was a homemaker who loved playing pool with her grandchildren, traveling, and accordion French music. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Chardon. Marie will be remembered for her strong will and feisty nature.

Family suggests contributions may be made in Marie’s memory to Geauga County Dog Warden, 12513 Merritt Dr., Chardon, OH 44024.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Marie at The DeJohn Funeral Home and Crematory of Chardon, (formerly Ritondaro), 126 South St (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) THURSDAY, APRIL 2nd from 5 – 7 PM.
