Marie (Orban) Hartmann, 76 of Willoughby Hills passed away Tuesday June 10, 2014 at the Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland with her family at her side. Mrs. Hartmann was born April 24, 1938 in Hungary and was a resident of Willougby Hills for 42 years. An outstanding student of mathematics, she turned down a scholarship to the University of Leningrad in order to emigrate to the US in 1956. She was a waitress for 46 years working at the Gypsy Cellar on Buckeye Rd., Le’Marque in Highland Hts., The Dry Dock in Wickliffe and The Pub in the Holiday Inn in Willoughby Hills. She is survived by her husband Charles K.; children Marie and Charles J.; grandsons John Macalpin and Matthew Hartmann; siblings Eva Toth and Laszlo Orban – both of Hungary and many nieces and nephews in the USA and Hungary. Her parents Laszlo and Maria Orban are deceased.
Funeral Service 7:30 p.m. Friday June 13, 2014 at the ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME 28890 CHARDON RD. WILLOUGHBY HILLS where family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Private family burial will take place at a later date.
