Marie E. Lipold

MARIE ELIZABETH LIPOLD (nee Baird), aged 85 years, beloved wife for 47 years to the late Frank A., loving mother of Frank A. III (wife Lori), devoted grandmother of Jessica Marie (fiance Greg Fleming), Jill Victoria Powell (husband Christian), Maureen Therese, Colleen Rose and Frank A.  IV, cherished great-grandmother of Genevieve Rosemary, Theodore Franklin and Eleanor Charlotte, dear daughter of the late George R. and Lois M. (nee Seckel) Baird, treasured sister of Richard Staats (deceased) and Lois Campbell, fond aunt and grand-aunt to many.

Marie E. Lipold was born in Cleveland, OH on January 14, 1934 and passed away September 15, 2019 in Richmond Hts. She was a long-time resident of Euclid, OH and a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church. Marie sang in the choir at St. John of the Cross for 50 plus years and belonged to S.N.P.J. She graduated from Jane Addams High School in 1952. She worked as a manager in the Euclid Central Middle School cafeteria for 30 years. She loved collecting figurines and milk glasses. She also like to play bingo and go shopping. Marie enjoyed listening to Polkas’. Her family and grandchildren gave her the most joy in life. Marie’s favorite tradition was the Lipold Christmas party and camping in Tionesta, PA. She will be remembered as a very loving, generous, strong and amazing woman. Marie will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 140 Richmond Rd., Euclid at 10 AM. Interment All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Marie at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON RD. (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) WEDNESDAY 3-8 PM.
