MARIE E. HENDERSHOTT (nee Reed) age 97, beloved wife of the late Oscar T.; loving mother of Mary K. “Pixie” Antonacci (husband Donald) and Michael; cherished daughter of the late Adam and Lillian (nee Monschein) Reed; dearest sister of Alice Banus, Barbara Chester, and the late Lillian Vibbert, Howard Reed, Beatrice Schlick, Mildred Vontorcik, Walter Reed, Florence Mead and Dolores Mortensen; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Marie was born on May 25, 1922 in Cleveland and passed away on September 17, 2019. She was a resident of Munson for 11 years, formerly of Cleveland. Marie was a member of St. Philip and James Church. She retired after 40 years working as a supervisor for General Electric. During World War II, Marie was known as a “Rosie the Riveter” at the Bomber Tank Plant (now the IX Center). She was an avid reader and loved traveling in the U.S. Marie loved children and was devoted to her family and caring to her friends. She will be remembered most as a giving, helpful, selfless, social, friendly and funny woman who was hardworking. Marie will be dearly missed.

Prayers of Christian Burial Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 11 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial following at Holy Cross Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Marie at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 3-7 PM.
