Marie Druzina

MARIE DRUZINA (nee Frank) age 78, beloved wife of the late Karl; loving mother of David (wife Irene) and Mary Ann Semen (husband John); devoted grandmother of Erika (fiancé Johnathan Critell), Thomas, Kati, and Andrew; cherished daughter of the late Joze and Franciska (nee Lever) Frank; dearest sister of Lawrence Frank, Vida Ratek of Slovenia and the late Ivan Frank and Milena Ivancic; cherished sister-in-law of Stanley and Slava Druzina; treasured companion of Stanley Grk; dear aunt, great aunt and cousin of many in Slovenia, Canada and the United States.

Marie Druzina was born on September 12, 1940 in Gabrk, Slovenia and passed away November 18, 2018.  She immigrated from Slovenia and was a resident of Eastlake for 44 years.  Marie is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Collinwood and St. Justin Martyr of Eastlake.  She belonged to the Primorski Club and KSKJ.  She enjoyed socializing with friends including her companion Stanley Grk.  Marie enjoyed gardening, traveling, being a homemaker and spending time with her grandchildren.  Her children and grandchildren gave her the most enjoyment in life.  Marie really like to bake and spend time with her family during the holidays.  She was energetic, thoughtful, giving, and friendly.  She will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10 am at St. Mary Catholic Church 15519 Holmes Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44110. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Marie at ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 2-4 AND 5-8 PM.
