Maribelle Barth

Maribelle Anne (Fowler) Barth, 81, of Eastlake, Ohio, died peacefully entering into the presence of her Savior Jesus Christ, on Thursday, February 11, 2016, at the Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio.

Maribelle was born on September 16, 1934 in Goshen Township, Ohio, to John and Rilda (Leyman) Fowler. She married the love of her life, Rev. Richard Barth on June 28, 1952.

Maribelle was a faithful partner and loving companion in the busy life of the pastorate for 41 years, including 27 years at Calvary Assembly of God in Willoughby Hills where she also worked as the main office secretary for many years. She was a gifted leader in Women’s Ministries, loved music and was always putting the needs of others before her own. She was a woman of strong faith and a constant role model to others. She was deeply loved by her devoted children and grandchildren and was extremely proud of each of them.

Maribelle is survived by Rev. Richard Barth, her loving husband of 63 years; daughters Cheryl A. and Wendy (Scott) Sanderson of Eastlake; son Doug (Cindi) of Timberlake; grandchildren Ryan (Samantha) Sanderson, Krissy (Matthew) Staton, Michael (Courtney) Barth and Ashley (Pat Joslin) Sanderson; eight great-grandchildren; sister Barbara Knopp; brother Barry (Joann) Fowler of Salem; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings Naomi Goodman, John, David, Robert, Howard and Gerald Fowler.

Family will receive friends 2-6 pm. Sunday at the Zevnik-Cosic Funeral Home, 28890 Chardon Rd., Willoughby Hills. A Celebration of Life Service officiated by Rev. Daniel DeLembo will be held 11 a.m. Monday February 15, 2016 at Calvary Assembly of God 28870 Chardon Rd. Willoughby Hills.  Visitation at the church will begin at 10 a.m. one hour prior to the start of the service.  Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens Chester Township.
