MARIANNE B. LaRICHE (nee Basile) age 98, beloved wife of the late Arthur; loving mother of Marilyn LaRiche-Goldstein (husband Arthur), Arthur, John (wife Connie), Michael (partner Timothy Neuman) and Robert; devoted grandmother of Michele Sulak, Candace Gundersen, Aaron, Chris (wife Julie), Natalie Mandel (husband Rob), Leah and Sophia; great-grandmother of 9 and great-great-grandmother of 1; cherished daughter of the late John and Theresa (nee Rubino) Basile; dearest sister of Phyllis Franks (husband Al, deceased) and the late Antoinette Sicurezza (husband Sam, deceased), Santo Basile (wife Marie, deceased) and Wilma Posanti (husband Joe, deceased); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Marianne was born April 29, 1919 in Cleveland and passed away March 28, 2018 in Beachwood where she was a resident for 7 years. Before she moved to Beachwood, Marianne was a resident of Wickliffe for over 50 years. She was a member of the ISDA (Italian Sons and Daughters of America) and volunteered at the Wickliffe Senior Center and Lake West Hospital in the gift shop. Marianne worked as a telephone technician for Western Electric and retired at the age of 65 after many years with the company. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, roller skating, cooking and baking and playing bocce. Marianne loved traveling and traveled to many destinations, but the highlights were Italy, Alaska and the train trip across Canada to Vancouver on the way to the Alaskan cruise. She had a great sense of style and elegance. Marianne was an independent woman who embraced challenges with determination. She will be remembered as a gentle, loving woman who had an unwavering and selfless devotion to her children. Marianne will be dearly missed.

Relatives and friends are requested to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11 AM at St. Noel Catholic Church, 35200 Chardon Rd, Willoughby Hills, OH 44094. Entombment following at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Marianne at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) MONDAY 4-8 PM.
