Marian J. Knotek

MARIAN J. KNOTEK (nee Klasson) age 91, beloved wife of the late Robert; loving mother of Robert A., David A. (wife Lana deceased), and Joan Hinkle (husband Robert); devoted grandmother of Mary Kristen Morelli (husband Brian), Daniel (deceased), and April Lagman (husband Curtis) and great-grandmother of Matthew, Jenna, Ava, Lucy Rain and Millie; cherished daughter of the late Anthony J. and Mollie A. (nee Duale); dearest sister of the late Joan Shula (husband Jim); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Marian was born November 14, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away October 26, 2022. She lived in Chagrin Falls for 1 year but raised her family in Richmond, VA and then in Lyndhurst. She was a member St. Clare Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and Funeral Server as well as a member of the Renewal Community and St. Christopher Circle.

Marian graduated from Cleveland Heights High School in 1948. After graduation she began working as an administrative assistant. She enjoyed traveling by taking cruises and bus trips along with crocheting and playing bridge. She was an avid reader and Cleveland Browns fan. Marian was a loving, caring and giving person with a unique sense of humor and an engaging smile who was always generous with her time and attention. She was very family oriented and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was very devoted to her faith.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Marian to ­­St. Clare Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, October 31, 2022, at St. Clare Catholic Church 5659 Mayfield Rd, Lyndhurst, OH 44124 at 11:30 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Marian at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) SUNDAY 2-5 PM.
