Maria Loreta Pinto

MARIA LORETA PINTO (nee Pucella) age 87, beloved wife for 68 years of Joseph; loving mother of Rossana Cherubin (husband Carlos) and the late Italo Pinto; devoted grandmother of Annamaria Cherubin (fiancé Dee Stankiewicz) and Alessandro Cherubin (wife Renee) and great-grandmother of Liliana and Valencia Cherubin; cherished daughter of the late Domingo and Teresa (nee Tarasco) Pucella; dearest sister of Jose and  Juan Pucella, Teresa Fuentes, and the late Angel and Enrique Pucella; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Maria was born on January 17, 1934 in Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay and peacefully passed away on May 6, 2021. She came to America in 1964 and resided in Cleveland until she moved to Richmond Heights in 1975. Maria was a dedicated parishioner of St. John of the Cross and belonged to the Ladies Oratinese Club of Cleveland. She attended school in Uruguay and proudly worked as a Quality Control Specialist at General Electric. Maria enjoyed many years as a homemaker and was devoted to caring for her son, Italo. She was hard working, devoted to her family and grandchildren. Maria will be dearly missed by all.

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St.Paschal Baylon Catholic Church, 5384 Wilson Mills Rd., Highland Heights, OH 44143. Entombment following at Knollwood Mausoleum. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Maria at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY 4-8 PM.
