MARGARET M. RIECK (nee Ledger) age 92, beloved wife for 60 years of the late John J. “Jack” Sr.; loving mother of Bonnie Varanese (husband Tom, deceased), Dan W. and the late John J. Jr., and Larry (wife Penny, deceased); devoted grandmother of Amy DeBaltzo (husband Nick), Julie DiCillo (husband David), Larry Jr., (wife Kristin), Jacquie Houser (husband Jon), Tom Varanese, Sarah Neff (husband Matthew) and great-grandmother of Jake, Abby, Tyler, Darren, Cate, Andrew, Jenna, Allie, Madzie, Jack, Nathan, Jayce, and Josh; cherished daughter of the late Warren J. and Lillian B. (nee Doyle) Ledger; dearest sister of Gwen Makela (husband Al) and the late Betty Weyandt (husband Howard, deceased), Chuck (wife Shirley, deceased), Warren (wife Rita, deceased) and Bob Ledger (wife Tina); dearest friend of Maureen and Gary Hodgson; dear aunt, great-aunt and cousin of many.

Margaret was born October 31, 1927 in Cleveland, OH and passed away peacefully February 3, 2020 surrounded by family. She was a resident of Mayfield Heights for 52 years and prior to that Cleveland. Margaret graduated from John Adams High School. She worked most of her career as an assistant Librarian in the Mayfield Schools. Margaret especially enjoyed roller skating with her husband, Jack, and singing in the church choir. Her greatest joy in life was her family and holiday traditions. Margaret will be remembered as a happy and vibrant woman who was full of life and loved to dance. She will be dearly missed.

Celebration of Life Service MONDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2020 at 10AM at Amazing Grace Church, 5632 Wilson Mills Rd., Highland Heights. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Margaret at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) SUNDAY 2 – 6 PM.
