Magdalena Zagmeister

MAGDALENA ZAGMEISTER (nee Kozole) age 82, beloved wife for 40 years of Louis; loving mother of Blanka Korosec and Maja Kucinic, and step-mother of Helga Zagmeister and Louis Zagmeister, Jr.; devoted grandmother of Austin, Julianne, Ivana, Marina and Nikola and great-grandmother of two; cherished daughter of the late Miha Glas and Anica Molan; dearest sister of Antonia Simicak (husband Joze), Vili Glas (wife Zlata) and the late Miroslav Glas (wife Ivka) and Franci Molan (wife Jozica); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Magdalena was born on October 28, 1941 in Brezice, Slovenia and immigrated to the United States in 1984. She and Louis, her husband of 40 years, most recently resided in Willoughby Hills, Ohio and were members of St. Mary Church. Being social and friendly, Magdalena was an active member of the Stajerski Primorski Club. Magdalena delighted in being a homemaker, caring for her children and grandchildren and being devoted to her faith. During her free time, she could be found gardening, cooking, baking, singing, dancing and listening to polka music. She greatly enjoyed traveling, which took her to exciting places such as Australia, China, Alaska, Slovenia and Croatia. Magdalena passed away on May 15, 2024. She will be dearly missed and always loved by those that knew her best.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church,15519 Holmes Avenue, Cleveland at 10AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Magdalena at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY 4-8PM.
