Lylan Soudier

LYLAN SOUDIER (nee Minacci) age 86, beloved wife of the late Victor; loving mother of Renee Diosdado (husband Stephen) and Celeste Asmar (husband Peter); devoted grandmother of Alex Soudier (wife Annie) and Olivia Asmar; cherished daughter of the late Leo and Marcella (nee Borra) Minacci.

Lylan was born in Torrington, Connecticut on August 10, 1935 and passed away on July 16, 2022. After graduating from Torrington High School in 1953, she earned a bachelor’s degree from Danbury State Teacher’s College and a master’s degree from the University of Connecticut. Lylan was an elementary school teacher and homemaker, then later in life she moved to Chagrin Falls, here she lived for the last 10 years. Lylan was very sociable and friendly, and she never knew a stranger. She was a thoughtful lady who will be missed by those whose lives she touched.

Celebration of Life Service Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 3:00 PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial at a later date at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Torrington, Conn. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Lylan at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.)  SATURDAY, July 30, 2022 at 1-3 PM.
