LUDMILA LEMM (nee DuKuroche) (formerly Koby), beloved wife of Horst Lemm and the late Dr. Victor Koby, cherished mother of Elizabeth Koby and Victor Koby (wife Mary), dearest grandmother of Ann Koby Jaskiw, Michael Koby Jaskiw, Jeffrey Koby, and Jack Koby, fond sister of the late Tamara Pleskachevskaya, cherished friend for over 50 years to Lois Ehlenfeldt. Ludmila was born Baroness Ludmila DuKuroche in Smolensk, Russia to the late Peter and Elizabeth DuKuroche.
For the last forty years, Ludmila was a resident of Lyndhurst. She spent her childhood in Mariupol, Ukraine, and later lived in Germany; Switzerland; St. Louis, Missouri; Pueblo, Colorado; and Columbus, Ohio.
With her remarkable combination of kindness, independence, creativity, and humor, Ludmila had a charm all her own. She loved throwing parties and spending time with her friends, many of which had been close to her for over half a century. She loved cooking, an outgrowth of her desire to care for those around her. Above all, she loved her grandchildren, whom she cared for selflessly. Ludmila’s fearlessness and determination in her later years served as an inspiration to those around her and an enduring testament to her strength of character. She will be missed by all, and her memory will always bring a smile to the faces of those she held most dear.
Private interment at Lake View Cemetery on Saturday, August 18, 2018. Arrangements entrusted to THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID.
