Louraine Collins

LOURAINE E. COLLINS (nee Eckert) age 66; beloved wife of the late Henry E. PHD; loving mother of Lesa Droe (husband Adam); devoted grandmother of Alexander and Lilah; dearest sister of Dr Steven Eckert (wife Susan); fond aunt of William Eckert; cherished niece of Joseph Thierstein; dear cousin of Andrew and Bonnie Thierstein; best friend and soul sister of Irene Bottinelli.

Louraine was a faithful member of St. Noel Catholic Church and resident of Willoughby Hills after moving from Eastlake 29 years ago. A graduate of Bedford Heights High School and North Central College, she received her Masters Degree at Kent State University. She taught elementary computer classes at Bedford Elementary, Cleveland Heights, Immaculate Conception (Willoughby) and St. Therese schools. She generously spent her time at St. Noel as a Eucharistic Minister and member of Pastoral Council as well as Birth Right and the Catholic Alumni Club. In her spare time, she shopped, swam and listened to Barbara Streisand. She will be remembered as an outgoing, caring and giving woman who enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything else. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at St. Noel Catholic Church at 10 AM. Entombment following at Western Reserve Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Louraine at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY 4-8 PM.
