LOUISE A. “WEEZY” NOVAK (nee Shipkosky) age 92, beloved wife for 64 years of the late William J.; loving mother of James D. (wife Sherri), Thomas (wife Wanda, deceased), William (wife Del) and Judy Romagni (husband Mark); devoted grandmother of Tammy Hickman (Bill), Jennifer Aspery (Robert), Janet Cunningham, Tom Novak (Victoria), Beth Lenhard (Mason), Matthew and Jeffrey Romagni and great-grandmother of 11; dearest sister of Bertha Strozeweski and the late Charlie, Bill, Andy, Stanley, Walter and Henry Shipkosky, Wanda Swartz, Agatha and Jenny Shipkosky; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Louise was born on August 6, 1924 in McCollough, Pennsylvania and passed away on October 1, 2016. She was a resident of Holly Hill in Newbury for 6 years, formerly of Burton. Louise was a parishioner of St. Helen Catholic Church for 16 years. She was an active member of the Geauga County Senior Center, a Senior Maple Festival Queen, and a member of IBEW Local 38 Retirees Club. Louise was a homemaker who loved to spend time with her grandchildren and family. She was an avid reader, loved to bake and cook, and enjoyed bowling. Louise will be remembered as a gentle, strong, and witty care-giver. She was a good friend who never met a stranger in her life. Louise was very likeable and had a wonderful sense of humor. She will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Louise’s memory to St. Helen School Fund 12060 Kinsman Rd., Newbury, OH 44065. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, October 7, 2016 at St Helen Catholic Church at 11 AM. Burial following at Slitor Cemetery, Burton, OH. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Louise at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY OF CHARDON (formerly Ritondaro) 126 SOUTH ST. (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
