Louisa Kotar

LOJSKA “LOUISA” KOTAR (nee Zidar) age 90, beloved wife for 65 years of Josef; loving mother of Josef Jr. (Charmaine), Mary (John) Owens, Toni (Mike) Hrnyak, and Kate (Jim Truskolaski) Kotar; devoted grandmother of Krista (Victor), Erika, Morgan (Corey), Molly (Jack), Nicolette (Jim), Michael (Krystina), Fr. Kevin Estabrook, and Ashley (Scott) and great-grandmother of Kaytlynn, Andrew, Grace, Joshua, Blakely, Alexis, and Harper.

Louisa was born on June 2, 1931 in Gaberska Gora, Slovenia. Together, she and Josef built a family, to which she was very dedicated. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were truly her pride and joy. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, reading, playing cards with her family and of course baking. She made incredible potica and strudel. Through the years she enjoyed traveling and taking bus trips with her husband. On December 4, 2021 Louisa passed away with family by her side. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, December 13, 2021 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor, OH 44060 at 10 AM.

Burial following at All Souls Cemetery.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Louisa at THE ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 1-6 PM.
