Louis Farkas

LOUIS FARKAS, age 90. Beloved husband of 64 years to the late Gloria (nee Bopko); father of David (Kathleen) and Laura Koller (Donald), loving grandfather of Chloe and Bridget Farkas, Benjamin (Kate) and Paul (Dana) Koller; brother of late Steve, Bill and Julia; uncle and great-uncle of many.

Lou graduated from East Tech and worked as a draftsman at General Motors until his retirement and was a 15-year volunteer at Hillcrest Hospital. He was a member of the Chevettes Club and was a fan of big sports, especially the Browns and Indians. Lou was a hard-working “Jack of all Trades” who also spent time gardening and doing handy-work. Though quiet at first, Lou would become quite animated once you got to know him. He loved a good joke. His family gave him much enjoyment and he was very devoted to his grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Lou to the First Hungarian Reformed Church 14530 Alexander Rd, Walton Hills, OH 44146. Funeral Service Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the First Hungarian Reformed Church at 11 AM. Burial following in Crown Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to Lou at THE CHURCH SATURDAY MORNING 10 – 11 AM.
