LOUIS E. GEBACZ, age 83. Cherished husband for 54 years of Eleanor “Ellie” (nee Wedryk-Wagner) passed away after a brief illness of legionella pneumonia. He was a supportive and treasured Dad to his devoted daughters and their families, Lynn Gebacz Milosevich (David) (West Caldwell, NJ) and Lee Law (Stephen) (Thornton, PA), a loving “Pops” to Zachary, Isabel and Ryan and a loyal brother of Irene. Preceded in death by caring parents, Louis and Victoria (Novotny) (Nanty-Glo, PA.), brothers John, Joseph, Tom, and Theodore, sisters Agnes Ley and Frances. Devoted son-in-law of the late Stanley and Marie (Knapik) Wedryk-Wagner, dear uncle, cousin and friend to many. Louis graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1950 with an engineering degree, retired in 1992 as a principal engineer for Argo Tech Corp., having worked at major firms, notably TRW and Borg Warner. He was a U.S. Navy WW II Veteran and a life-time avid golfer. He would wish his old buddies to enjoy a round of golf in his memory.

Visitation to celebrate his life well-lived will be held Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.).
A Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, Feruary 9, 2011 at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church, 5384 Wilson Mills Rd., at 10:30 AM. A luncheon reception will be held immediately after the Mass. Interment following the luncheon in Holy Cross Cemetery.
