LORRAINE E. “LORRIE” PETERSON, aged 65 years, beloved daughter of the late James A. “Pete” and Florence T. (nee Wagner), dear sister of Michael (wife JoAnn) and Shawn, loving aunt to Spencer and Brittany Peterson and Joseph Fry (wife Stacie), cherished great-aunt to Ryan James Stewart, Blake Ludvik and Dominik Fry, treasured companion for 30-years to Gonzolo Miranda and fond niece of Patricia Wills, dearest God-mother to Jessica, devoted best friend to Maria Perkins and survived by many cherished cousins. Contributions in memory of Lorraine suggested to any animal shelter.

Lorraine Elsie Peterson was born on June 28, 1954 and passed away January 25, 2020. She was a resident of Cleveland, OH for her whole life. Lorraine was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic church for 65 years and presently attended Gesu Catholic Church. She belonged to a 50 plus group. Lorraine attended Sacred Heart High School and was there till it closed during her senior year. Then she went on to graduate from Villa Angela High School. She worked as an office manager for the Marriot Corporation and was a personal assistant for a independent contractor. Lorraine liked to read, go to plays, festivals, travel and attend concerts. She loved to listen to country music. Being with people gave her the most joy. She enjoyed the traditions of Christmas, Thanksgiving, Birthdays, Memorial Day Picnic’s and Weddings. Lorraine always made a birthday cake for baby Jesus on Christmas. She will be remembered as a very kind woman who was willing to help anyone before they even asked. Her family was very important to her. Lorraine was a friend to all. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020, at Gesu Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Burial following in Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Lorraine at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) WEDNESDAY 2-4 AND 6-8 PM.
