Loretta M. Daws

LORETTA M. DAWS (nee Damicone) age 83, loving mother of Carey Daws and Holly Keck (husband John); devoted grandmother of Madeline and Connor Keck; cherished daughter of the late William and Madeline  (nee Cipriano) Damicone; dearest sister of Anna Brewer (husband William, deceased), William Damicone Jr. (wife Pauline), Elaine Montgomery (husband John), Marie Yarnott (husband Rudy) and James Damicone (wife Laura) ; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Loretta was born on September 13, 1938 in Ravenna, Ohio where she graduated from Ravenna High School in 1956.  She continued her education at Kent State University where she earned her teaching degree in 1960.  She proudly taught first and third grade for over 30 years for the Bedford Public School System.  Loretta was a resident of Mayfield Village for over 30 years where she served as past president of the Mayfield Women’s Club.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking for others.  Strong in her faith, she was an active parishioner at St. Noel Catholic Church, where she served on the Parish Council, as Eucharistic Minister and Sacristan.  Loretta was strong, giving, and generous.  She devoted herself to her family and her friends to which she always provided a great laugh.   On July 4, 2022 Loretta passed away leaving her friends and family missing her dearly.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, July 11, 2022 at 10AM at St. Noel Catholic Church 35200 Chardon Rd, Willoughby Hills, OH 44095.

Entombment  at St. Mary’s Cemetery,  Ravenna, OH at 1:30PM.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Loretta at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 1-5PM.
