Lois Svigel

LOIS S. SVIGEL (nee Christopher) age 89, beloved wife for 68 years of Victor J.; loving mother of Michele Ambrogio (husband Thomas) and Laura Telich (husband Michael); devoted grandmother of Nicholas (wife Amanda) and Matthew Ambrogio, Michael (wife Kori) and Colin (wife Maria) Telich and great-grandmother “GG” of Domenic, Ava Marie and Carmela; cherished daughter of the late Louis and Laura (nee Porcello) Christopher; dear aunt and great-aunt.

Lois was born on August 16, 1927 in Cleveland and passed away on April 4, 2017. She was a 2 year resident of The Slovene Home previously residing in Euclid since 1951. Lois was a member of St. William Catholic Church since 1951. Lois graduated from Collinwood High School in 1946 and was a member of Collinwood Memories. She married the love of her life Victor on August 28, 1948 and became a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, fishing, grandkids and traveling, especially to Hawaii, Florida and Canada.  Lois was happy, outgoing, friendly, never knew a stranger, always witty with a quick answer, she had a great memory and never forgot anything. Lois will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Ss. Robert & William Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Lois at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 3-5 and 6-8 PM.
