Lois Steigerwald

LOIS J. STEIGERWALD (nee Laven) age 81, beloved wife for 56 years of Albert; loving mother of Beth Dixon (husband William), Jill, and the late Sara; devoted grandmother of Luke; cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (nee Manney) Laven; dearest sister of Joseph “Jack” Laven (wife Denise), Kathy Radich (husband George, deceased) and the late Joan Adams (husband William) and Marilou Curran (husband Thomas, deceased); dear aunt, great-aunt and godmother of many.

Lois was born on February 13, 1938 in Lorain and passed away on July 5, 2019. She was a resident of Lyndhurst for 56 years, formerly of Lorain. Lois graduated from High School in New York and graduated from St. John College. She was a schoolteacher in Cleveland for many years. Lois was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church for 56 years where she taught CCD and played at guitar Masses. She loved playing bridge, spending time with her grandson, going out to eat with friends and was an avid reader. Lois will be remembered most as a loving, strong-willed, funny, and very intelligent woman who was protective of her family. She will be dearly missed.
