LJUBICA BRNJIC (nee Ilijasevic) age 73, beloved wife for 49 years of the late Mirko “Miro”; loving mother of Dominko (wife Helen), John (wife Victoria), and the late Nikola; devoted grandmother of Marko (wife Brittany), Ivica, and Daniel Brnjic, and Ana Dorsey (husband Jim) and great-grandmother of Dominko Brnjic and Jimmy Dorsey; cherished daughter of the late Nikola and Ana (nee Musa) Ilijasevic; dearest sister of Ruza Paunkovic and the late Andjia Ilijasevic; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Ljubica was born on July 21, 1945 in Kresevo, Bosnia and passed away on August 12, 2018. She was a resident of Willowick, previously South Euclid and was a parishioner of St. Paul Croatian Church since 1969. Ljubica supported members of the Croatia Cleveland Soccer Club and went to the West Side Market every Saturday. She was a proud worker and spent her time working in a machine shop, house cleaning, as a healthcare provider and even as a bar owner. Ljubica got the most enjoyment in life by spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved throwing parties, some would say even the best. Ljubica was loving, fun, independent, and had a dirty sense of humor. She was the rock of the family and will be dearly missed by all.
Mass of Christian Burial Friday, August 17, 2018 at St. Paul Croatian Catholic Church 1369 E 40th St, Cleveland, OH 44103 at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Ljubica at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
