Linda A. Lackner, age 69, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2017 at Wickliffe Country Place, after a long illness. Linda was born on May 19, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Robert W. and Marjorie A. (nee Pollock) Lackner.
She graduated from Euclid High School in 1966 and earned a clerical certificate from Cuyahoga Community College. Linda was employed as an administrative assistant for various tax accounting companies and developmental firms. She retired in 2016 after a long career with the Gent Machine Company.
Linda was an avid Cleveland Browns Football fan and attended many home games over the years. She was also a lifelong pet lover and was very fond of her companion cats Heidi and Tia. Linda also enjoyed traveling and was able to visit Hawaii, Alaska, Caribbean, England, and Hong Kong as well as the lower 48 states. She also frequently traveled to Ohio Amish country.
Those who knew and loved Linda will remember her as kind, generous, and trustworthy and she will be missed by all.
Linda is survived by her sister Karen E. of Evergreen Park, IL; her fiancée Joe Baker; and Cousins Carol Sabreen, Stephen Sabreen, Nancy Lindsay, Trudy (Zvonko) Devcic, Hilde Lackner Kobetitsch and many other adopted cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family graciously suggests contributions may be made to Karen Lackner 3145 West 100 Place, Evergreen Park, IL 60805, to help pay for Linda’s final expenses.
Prayer of Christian Burial Saturday December 2, 2017 at 12 noon at the Funeral Home. Entombment following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Linda at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SATURDAY 10 am – 12 Noon.
