Levi Luis Scott Beck

December 5, 2022 — March 5, 2025

It is with the heaviest, broken hearts that we announce the passing of our sweet Levi Luis Scott Beck.

Born on December 5, 2022, Levi entered this world as the brightest joy and most fulfilling gift his family could have received. At the young age of 2 years old, Levi was smart, loving, caring, joyous and empathetic beyond his years. Levi started almost every day the same way by yelling from his crib “Mommy, Daddy!” and would be greeted with a hug, kiss, “I love you” and his beloved “baba” (bottle) as he wildly threw his “baby” (pacifier) somewhere out into his room. The first part of his day was filled with the love and embrace of his family and pets, drinking his baba, kissing and hugging everyone, watching the birds from the living room, reading books or telling mommy and daddy what he dreamt about, many times replying with “Opee” (his toy octopus). No matter the time of day, Levi did not want to get his diaper changed, but began to appreciate that “no rash” was why he was put through these undesirable few minutes, so often. Levi had his own set of activities that he loved going to that brought him joy and laughter. “Movin’ with Music” class at the Metzenbaum Center, story time at the Burton Library, Gymastics at Emeth Gym and in recent months, enjoyment, (finally) and great success at his rescue swimming class at Kiss Aquatics. Aside from his activities, Levi’s most coveted time and the best parts of his day were spent doing anything to help or spend time having fun with Mommy and Daddy. Even at 2 years old, Levi clearly felt purpose and fulfillment in being included in everything the family needed to get done from cooking, cleaning, laundry, building/projects, chores, errands, helping mommy put makeup on, picking out daddy’s clothes for work, building a fire, plowing snow, going downstairs to grab something, to feeding the animals. Levi wanted to be, but more importantly, was, a valued and appreciated part of everything the family needed and wanted to get done. Aside from the family’s needs, Levi treasured his leisure time with mommy and daddy whether it be playing “Where’s Levi”, arts and crafts, reading books, “ride momas” (ride his Thomas train), being chased around the house, eating his favorite “marshellows”(marshmallows), playing with his trucks/cars/trains/planes of all kinds, daddy’s tools which all turned into “Levi’s screwdriver” or “Levi’s hammer”, riding a “momobile” (snowmobile)/tractor/Side-by-Side/scooter or anything motorized, having a dance party or pushing his beloved bubble lawn mowers in/on the grass/house/driveway/woods/snow/couch etc. The boy loved his lawnmower anytime, anywhere, any place for any purpose. Although not being allowed any screen time until 2 years old, Levi found an immediate connection with “watch lion king” (The Lion King), “watch Mermaid” (The Little Mermaid), “watch dinosaur” (The Land Before Time), “watch Momas” (Original Thomas and Friends), “watch rusty” (Lightning McQueen from Cars) and the original Sesame Street series. Levi adored petting, hugging, kissing, calling and at times, chasing his small zoo of pets: Delilah, Nala, Winter, Dori, Rue and Thumper. When Levi learned (and understood) that he was going to be a big brother to a surprise boy or girl, he immediately responded and never wavered with “brodder” as his response when asked whether he was having a sister or brother. Levi spent many hours kissing, touching, lying on and singing to mommy’s belly, affectionately known as “big mountain”. Levi’s sense and desire for a baby brother were spot on, and he certainly was excited for Tate entering his life. Levi’s love, kindness and understanding of what being a big brother was about showed through immediately in his actions and words. Singing his own song “baby love you” and “twinkle twinkle little star” immediately to Tate at the hospital, to showering Tate with every one of his toys he could fit on top of Tate in his car seat as he entered their house for the first time, Levi never showed jealousy and only love for his baby brother, “Tater Tot”. Without prompt, Levi would go hug or lay his head on Tate when he would cry and say “it’s ok baby, it’s ok baby” or sing to him. Levi commonly asked to “hold baby” or “hold Tater Tot” and would gently and lovingly embrace Tate, lay his head on him and look at him with pure affection and kindness. No matter the situation, Levi’s desire for mommy, daddy, Tate or anyone else, was for them to be “happy”. He found great joy in being able to help someone feel “happy”, particularly “mommy happy” and “daddy happy”. Levi’s own understanding of happiness and caring would show when he would play “doctor Levi” lining up his stuffed animals, listening to each of their heartbeats with his stethoscope and when asked if they needed medicine, Levi responded with a “hug” for each animal, followed by “all better” as he continued to hug them. Even though sweet and loving as can be, anytime you asked Levi if he was a good boy or bad boy, you would usually get a mischievous, scrunchy-faced belly laugh before or after always responding with “bad boy”. In reality, he was certainly the opposite, being the light and joy of his mommy and daddy’s lives. Levi was eager to learn new things and understand everything that was going on around him at a level and with an attention span few two-year-olds possess. Levi had an uncanny ability for spotting the “moooon” any time of day, airplanes that seemed out of sight, heavy equipment, flags, fans and his beloved “wee-uoo we-uoooo” (fire trucks and police cars). Levi will forever remain his mommy and daddy’s Love Bug, Best Buddy, Baby, Mommy/Daddy’s Best Helper, Pooh Bear and “Wild Animal Adventure Seeker”.

On March 5, 2025, Levi passed peacefully in his sleep joining God in Heaven. He embodied and lived a beautiful life full of love and happiness surpassing all hopes and expectations his mommy and daddy imagined possible.

He will continue as a force, purpose and drive for love and happiness to all who knew him. As you look to the sky and see the moon shining down or an airplane fly by, know that Levi is always with us shining down brightly on our lives.

Though his time on earth was limited, his love and legacy will continue for years through the donation to Levi's Treasured Memories Fund. To offer a donation please click HERE.
