Lester Dickard

Lester R. Dickard age 87. Beloved husband of the late Marian. Dear father of Charlene “Char” Hartson (husband Cliff), Jack (wife Nicole) and Jim. Loving grandfather of Jessica Dickard and stepgrandfather of Kyle Hartson. Dear brother of Arthur, Jr. (wife Frances) and Robert (wife Holly) and the late Gene (wife Marge Comella).

Lester, of Bratenahl, passed away Aug. 2, 2013, at the Cleveland Clinic. Born Oct. 23, 1925, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Euclid before moving to Bratenahl nine years ago.

Les was a WWII veteran. He was active his whole life at his church. Les was a past president of the Bratenahl Place Condo Association, a member of the Cleveland Foundation and the Painesville Rotary and was on the board of the Lake County YMCA. He was a Cleveland Clinic ambassador and a financial advisor to the Euclid Police Retirement Fund.
Les was vice president and general manager at Avery Dennison Corporation, retiring in 2000 after 45 years of service.

Family suggests contributions may be made in Les’s memory to Hospice of the Western Reserve 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.

Private family interment at All Souls Cemetery. Tribute Service Sunday, August 4th at 6 PM, at the MULLALLY FUNERAL HOME located in the DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON RD. (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) where the family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Les Sunday 4-6 PM.
