Leonard R. Rogers

LEONARD R. ROGERS age 88, beloved husband for 41 years of the late Betty (nee Kirby); loving father of  Debra Shisila (husband Mark), Michael Swanson (wife Wendy), and the late James Swanson; devoted grandfather of Ashley Bales (husband Andrew), Dawn Swanson, and Jazmin Foster (husband Joe) and great-grandfather of Braxton, James, Journee, and Ean; cherished son of the late Louis and Mary (nee Balogh) Ruggiero; dearest brother, uncle and friend of many.

Leonard was born May 14, 1935, and passed away surrounded by his loving family on November 9, 2023.  He proudly served in the US Army.  Upon returning home, Leonard pursued a career as a general contractor.  Traveling brought him great enjoyment, both in his motor home and on cruises.  His hobbies included playing his guitar and listening to country music.  With a great sense of humor, Leonard was very sociable and never met a stranger.  He was also hard working, striving for perfectionism.  Leonard will always be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Leonard to Hospice of the Western Reserve, P.O. Box 72101, Cleveland, Ohio 44192. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Celebration of life service at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND.
