LEONARD J. HINKLE age 92, beloved husband for 63 years of Virginia (nee Akins); loving father of Beverly Doganiero and Kimberly Hinkle (David Strnad); devoted grandfather of Clinton Hinkle (wife Amy), Richard, and Michael Doganiero; cherished son of the late Jacob and Maxine (nee Wilder) Hinkle; dearest brother of Judy Thomas, Geraldine Selph, Emory Hinkle, and the late Roberta Hammonds, Jacqueline Bauerlein, and Floyd Hinkle; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Army Veteran.
Leonard was born in Derby, Virginia on May 4, 1928 and passed away on July 6, 2020. He was resident of Willoughby Hills for 45 years and a member of the Euclid Church of God. After serving in the United States Army, Leonard worked as a machinist at Lincoln Electric. He enjoyed golfing, woodworking, and fishing, and loved all animals. Leonard was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a friend to all. He was reserved with a dry sense of humor, as well as kind, generous, compassionate, hardworking, and selfless, and he will be missed by so many.

Graveside Service with Military Honors on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 1:30 PM at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, 11521 Chillicothe Rd., Chesterland, Ohio. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Leonard at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) Monday 12-1 PM.
