LEONARD F. GALATI age 88. Leonard leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 64 years Ledia (nee Fossa); his loving children Deborah Udovic (Frank), Denise Reilly (Tim), Anthony (Betty) and Donna Gill (Dick); his devoted grandchildren Jennifer Herbert (Scott), Kristina and Steven Udovic, Sean Reilly (Colleen), Dr Meghan Reilly, Regina Colombi (Carl), Nikki Detzel (Dr Steven ), Lauren and Alex Gill and great-grandchildren Jackson, Logan, Nolan, Brendan, Claire, Leo, Vinny, Angelina, Carlos and Rosie; his dearest brother Hank (Patricia) and sister Mary Pekar (Robert). Leonard was preceded in death by his sister Frances Simpkins and brothers Joseph and Victor.

Leonard was a resident of Highland Heights for 55 years after moving from Cleveland. He was a member of St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church the Pipefitter Local 120 and a World War II U.S. Army Veteran. Leonard enjoyed golf, making stained glass, woodworking, assembling puzzles and anything he could do with this family – especially his kids and grandkids. He will be fondly remembered as a giving and generous man who would do anything for anyone and who loved his family deeply.

Contributions may be made in Leonard’s memory to the Rett Syndrome c/o Claire’s Crusade P.O. Box 31118 Independence, OH 44131 (clairescrusade.org) in honor of Leonard’s great-granddaughter Claire Reilly.

Graveside service with Military Honors to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Leonard will be SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2014 at 1 PM at ALL SOULS CEMETERY, 10366 Chardon Rd Chardon, OH (Please meet at the entrance at 12:45 PM). Cremation was by DeJohn Crematory. Arrangements by THE DeJOHN-FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY of WILLOUGHBY HILLS.
