Lawrence Wilson

LAWRENCE ANDREW WILSON, age 84, beloved husband and best friend of Ellen Ann Wilson (nee Spangler), passed away November 3, 2014. Loving father of Thomas A. (Susan), James A. (Deion), Anne Parzick (Robert J.), and Robert L. (Donna); devoted grandfather of Andrew, Michael, and Caroline Wilson, Bobby and Iris Wilson, and Wade and Calvin Parzick. He was preceded in death by his parents Eleanore and Lawrence Wilson and his sister Janice Wilson.

Born and raised in the Cleveland area, Larry graduated from Dartmouth College and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He was an anesthesiologist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL for 29 years. He served in the U.S. Navy active duty as physician to the Marines, and in the Navy Reserves thereafter. In retirement, he pursued gardening, especially his roses, hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains and other National Parks, but his passion was for biking. He enjoyed the outdoors, and shared this with his children. Above all, Larry loved his family. Generous with his resources and wisdom, he led our family wisely, and we will miss him greatly. Rest in peace, Larry! We love you, and you will never be forgotten.

Services were held in Evanston IL; Private burial in Lake View Cemetery.
