LAWRENCE S. NOWAK, age 68. Beloved husband for 46 years of Patricia M. (nee Popelka). Loving father of Theresa Zickert (husband Michael), Ronald (wife Michelle) and Christine. Devoted grandfather of Jordan, James, Catherine and John Paul. Cherished son of the late Walter and Irene (nee Dzierzawski). Dearest brother of Walter (wife Joan). Dear uncle, great-uncle and friend of many.

Larry passed away on November 17 2011 at Geauga Hospital. He was born on July 28, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio. He lived in Auburn Township for the past 37 years and was a former resident of Macedonia.

Larry was a member of Burton-Middlefield American Legion Post #459; St. Helen CYO/Life Teen Youth Ministry; Legion of Mary; RCIA; Men’s Renewal; Eucharistic, Jail, Hospital and Homebound Ministries. His hobbies included golf, baseball and coaching football. Larry was devoted to Jesus and to praying the Rosary. Larry’s huge heart embraced love, forgiveness, his family, and a passion for the youth. He never met a stranger. He proudly served his country during the Cuban Missile Crisis in the U.S. Navy. Larry worked for First Energy as an electrical tester.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Larry’s memory to the St Helen’s Life Teen Fund. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday November 23, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St Helen Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury, Ohio 44065. Burial following at Shadyside Cemetery, Auburn Township. The family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Larry at THE CHURCH on TUESDAY from 3:00 to 5:00 & 6:00 to 8:00 PM. PRAYER SERVICE FROM 5:00 to 6:00 PM.
