LAWRENCE L. EVERT, JR. age 93, beloved husband for 62 years of the late Jeanne (nee Kirby); loving father of Terence, Thomas (wife Susana), Timothy (wife Marilyn), Jean O’Hearn, Gilbert, Mary Mesi (husband Douglas), Anne, Michael, Hugh, Regina Berlan (husband Larry), and Joan; devoted grandfather of Max, Todd, Haley, Madeline, Matthew, Colin, Lauren, Tim, Scott, Mike, Emily, Alex, Anna, Elizabeth, Brooke, Tara, Sean, Ryann, Taylor, Connor and great-grandfather of 6; cherished son of the late Lawrence Sr. and Emily (nee Scott); dearest brother of the late Timothy Evert; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. WWII U.S. Army Veteran.

Larry was born on July 19, 1923 in Baltimore, Maryland and passed away on December 6, 2016. He was a resident of Mayfield Heights for 10 years, formerly of Euclid. Larry was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and St. Williams Church where he served as business manager, lector, and Eucharistic minister. He graduated from Cathedral Latin High School and the University of Notre Dame. Larry worked for GM as an engineering manager. He was a Civil War and history buff. Larry loved watching Notre Dame Football and gardening, especially in his rose garden. He will be remembered most as a selfless, humble, quiet, intelligent gentle man. Larry was a true gentleman with a sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, December 10, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 11:30 AM. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Larry at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 4-8 PM.
