LAWRENCE J. EVANS age 82, beloved husband for 60 years of Carole (nee Hart); loving father of Lawrence II (wife Anita), Forest (wife Shelley) and Della Shafer; devoted grandfather of John (US Air Force), Carissa Rein (husband Daniel), Donovan, Andrew and Madelynn Evans, Hector Casarez and great-grandfather of Chase, William, Blakely, and Leo; dearest brother of the late Edward, Donald, Frank, William, Russell, and Richard; dear brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle of many. Survived by his feline companion Tommy.

Larry was born on November 15, 1933 in Cleveland and passed away on November 3, 2016. He was a resident of Newbury and a member of St. Helen Catholic Church for 55 years. Larry was a member of the unicycle team at St. Helen Catholic Church. He attended high school in Cleveland and worked for an electric contracting company as a warehouse man and part-time electrician. Larry loved and was very caring to all animals and rescued many over the years. He will be remembered most as a hard-working and very loyal man who had strong opinions. Larry will be greatly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at St. Helen Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following at Newbury Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Larry at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY OF CHARDON (formerly Ritondaro) 126 SOUTH ST. (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) MONDAY 5-8 PM.
