LAWRENCE JAMES CROTTY died November 30, 2014 at his home in Mayfield Village after a long and valiant battle with Multiple Myeloma. He was born June 5, 1938 to the late Laurence A and Stephania (nee Oker) Crotty. Larry was the beloved husband for 49 years of Mary (nee Harrington); loving and proud father of Laura, James (wife Michelle) and Maureen; devoted Grampa of Colin, Jack, Stephania, Max and Patrick; dearest brother of John T and Kathleen; dear nephew of Albert (wife Gertrude) Oker; dear brother-in-law of John Harrington, Daniel (wife Kathleen) Harrington and the late Robert; dear uncle of Daniel (wife Lorie), Dana, and Michael (wife Kelley) Harrington and Kelly (husband Rich) Dingess. Larry is also survived by his many wonderful cousins who shared his sense of humor.
He has lived in Mayfield Village since 1977 and prior to that in Lyndhurst. Larry was a member of St. Francis of Assisi for 37 years and was very involved in working the festival for the church. He was a U.S. Veteran of the Army and a member of the Eastside Irish American Club. Larry graduated from Brush High School and attended Ohio University. He was an avid reader and Cleveland sports fan. Spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, gave him the greatest joy in life. He also loved studying his family history and genealogy. Larry will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He was a good father and a patriarch of his family.

Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery.
