Lawrence Michael “Larry” Betlejewski, age 69, beloved husband of 19 blessed years to Kathleen (nee Maxim), loving father of Larry Betlejewski Jr. (Kelly), Heather Pyle (Casey), Kristen Klepper (Seth), Kerry Smith (Ed), Matthew Betlejewski (Erin), Hailey Betlejewski (Carina), the late David Betlejewski; loving stepdad of Robert Weikart and Michelle Weikart; grandfather of 14 precious grandchildren, including Gavin Weikart whom he raised as his own; devoted son of the late Leonard and Annamae (nee Stika) Betlejewski; brother of Karen Stalzkowski (Ralph), and most precious and cherished brother Dennis Betlejewski (Darlene). Larry was a wonderful uncle, cousin and dear friend of many.
Larry was born on October 1, 1954 in Cleveland, OH. He was a graduate of South High School. Larry had a career with Stone Gardens Assisted Living where he served as the Director of Environmental Services and retired in 2019 after 24 years. When not working, Larry could be found trying his luck at the casino or working around his property, which he loved doing. He was an avid traveler who enjoyed 15 cruises with his wife, Kathy. Those that knew him would describe him as compassionate, caring, loving and a devoted family man and friend. His Catholic faith meant so much to him. He will be greatly missed by all that had the honor of knowing him.
Mass of Christian Burial Friday, October 4, 2024 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 32114 Vine St., Willowick, OH 44095 at 11 AM. Inurnment following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Larry at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
