Lani Smeraldi

LANI MARIE SMERALDI age 21, beloved daughter of Mark (Patsy Kilbane) and Sarah (nee Fermin) Smeraldi (Edward Brodsky); loving sister of Bret and Richard; cherished granddaughter of Vivian and the late Anthony Smeraldi, Ricardo and Gloria Fermin; dearest niece of Ria , Don and Vicki, Jon and Ann Marie and Jeri Smeraldi, Dee and Bill Cole; dear cousin and friend of many.

Lani was a lifelong resident of North Olmsted. She was on the Eaglet Dance Team and a hurdler in Track and Field. A graduate of North Olmsted High School, she also attended Kent State University and worked in retail at Macy’s. She enjoyed working out at the gym, listening to country and hip-hop music and loved being with her family and pets. She will be fondly remembered as a sweet, caring person who could light up a room and be a “ray of sunshine” to all she met.

Lani also leaves behind her canine companions Max, Wynston and Willow and her feline companions Kitty and Macy. Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Friday, November 14, 2014 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2256 Clague Rd., Westlake, OH at 11:30 AM. Burial following at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Lani at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY 2-4 and 5-9 PM.
