Ladislaus Lengyel

LADISLAUS P. LENGYEL age 93, beloved husband of the late Elsie (nee Bartelme); loving father of Lucretia Naughton (husband Robert), Laurel DesForges (William, deceased), Lynette Lengyel, Lianne Vargo (husband Todd), Lorencz, and the late Lee Lengyel; devoted grandfather of Rob-Jon Naughton, Jonessa Sprock (husband Chris), Jonathan DesForges (wife Samantha), Jennipher Cunningham (husband John), and Jeremy Vargo and great-grandfather of Tinka Cunningham, and Olivia and Damian Sprock; cherished son of the late George and Rose (nee Horvath); and dearest brother of the late George (wife Adeline).

Ladislaus was born on September 17, 1924 in Cleveland and passed away on August 4, 2018. He was a resident of Cleveland, but had previously lived in Montville for 8 years. Ladislaus was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. He was proud to be a Veteran of the United States, served under General Patton’s Army, and received two Purple Hearts. He was also an active member of AA Seniors Group of Lyndhurst since 1986. He enjoyed camping, traveling to every state, and listening to country music in his free time. Ladislaus loved roller coasters, especially Kings Island and Cedar Point. He was very fond of his family and was a special friend to June Wirth. Ladislaus would cause trouble to make everyone laugh, and for that he will be dearly missed.

Prayers of Christian Burial THURSDAY, AUGUST 9, 2018 at 10 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial following with Military Honors  at Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Laddie at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) Wednesday 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.
