KEVIN J. SROUB, 80 years old, passed away on September 27, 2015 at his home with his family at his side. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carole (nee Montville), daughters Susan Sroub and Margaret Chevako (William), son Brian (Jennifer, nee Stephen), loving grandchildren Brittany, Robby (Kaitlin), James, Marcella, Katie, Jackson and the late Wesley (who is buried in Cincinnati), also survived by his brother Wes, and cousins Dorothy Sliney and Lenore Bracken.
Mr. Sroub graduated from Cathedral Latin High School and earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physics from John Carroll University. He spent the bulk of his career as a physicist monitoring the environment with private and governmental agencies. He founded Shalco, an environmental monitoring personal consulting firm, which he sold to Bicron. For the final 13 years of his active professional life, Mr. Sroub taught mathematics at Notre Dame College and at Tri-C East.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service with eulogies at the funeral home on Thursday morning October 1, 2015 beginning at 9:30 AM., followed by Mass of Christian Burial in St Gregory the Great Catholic Church of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish at 11:00 AM. Interment following in All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Kevin at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) WEDNESDAY 4-8 PM.
