KENNETH M. McCARTHY age 51, beloved husband of Karen (nee Kausek); loving father of Halli Mansfield (husband Timothy); devoted grandfather of Addison, Emma-Grace, Paige, and Charlotte; cherished son of Edward and Jane (nee Giddings); dearest brother of Kevin (wife Natalie), Kathleen Hoffmann (husband Michael), Kristine McNicholas (husband James), Kerry (wife Cindy) and Kara Passow (husband Brian); treasured son-in-law of Shirlee Kausek ; dear uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend of many.

Kenneth was born on March 23, 1967 and passed away suddenly on April 1, 2018. He was a resident of Painesville for 5 years, previously Mentor and grew up in Chardon and a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chardon. Kenneth graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1986 and earned his associates degree at Hocking Technical College. Kenneth proudly worked as a Heat Treat Operator for PCC in Wickliffe. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters and keeping up with Cleveland’s sports. Kenneth’s favorite teams were Notre Dame, Cleveland Browns and Indians. He also enjoyed listening to country music. Kenneth loved people and making friends. He was very family oriented and always stayed in contact with those he loved. Kenneth was outgoing, generous, and funny. His untimely death has left family and friends with an ache in their hearts beyond words. He will be dearly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Kenneth to Chautauqua Institution, Department of Religion, 1 Ames Ave., Chautauqua, NY 14722. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, April 6, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 401 North St., Chardon, OH 44024 at 11:00 AM. Cremation following by DeJohn Crematory. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Kenneth at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY 3-8 PM and FRIDAY MORNING AT THE CHURCH 10-11 AM.
