KENNETH J. JEVNIKAR, SR. age 75, former husband of Mary Baldrey; beloved father of Kenneth, Jr. (wife Donna), Robert (Kristine Vosecky), Thomas (wife Annette), James (wife Tobi), Joy Bialosky (husband Robert), Laura Skowronsky (husband Anthony) and Steven (wife Kristen); devoted grandfather of David, Jill, Benjamin, Amanda, Sarah, Lauren, Ryan and Evelyn; cherished son of the late James and Frances (nee Verbic); dearest brother of the late Rosemary Yanosky (husband Joseph, deceased); dear brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Army National Guard Veteran.
Ken was born in Cleveland on January 13, 1944 and passed away peacefully in Burton, Ohio on September 2, 2019. He was a resident of Mentor-on-the-Lake for the past 15 years, and previously lived in Chesterland. Ken was a member of Divine Word Catholic Church, and he proudly served in the U.S. Army National Guard. Ken graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1962 and attended Ohio University. He worked in inside sales for a manufacturing company. Ken was an avid Cleveland Indians, Browns, and Cavs fan, and he also liked golf. Ken will be remembered as a very loving, patient man with a great sense of humor. He was devoted to his family, especially his grandchildren, and he will be greatly missed.
Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 10 AM at Divine Word Catholic Church 8100 Eagle Road, Kirtland, OH 44094. Cremation following by DeJohn Crematory. Burial will take place at a later date at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Ken at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) FRIDAY 2-4 & 5-8 PM.
