Kenneth C. Cudnik

July 25, 1939 — November 11, 2024

KENNETH C. CUDNIK age 85, beloved husband of Judith (nee Hudson) for 25 years; loving father of Doreen (wife Kate), Kenneth A. (wife Chein, deceased), and Jill Warren (husband Jim); devoted grandfather of Alexandria Warren, Maxine Warren, Bethany Cudnik, and Matthew Warren; cherished son of the late Casimir and Laura (nee Baranowski) Cudnik; dearest brother of Robert Cudnik (wife Joannette) and the late Cynthia Rokovitz (husband Eddie, deceased); dear brother-in-law, cousin, uncle and friend of many.

Ken was born on July 25, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up with his cousins, and many other children of immigrant families in the Harvard Road neighborhood. His parents Casey and Laura operated the Cudnik’s Superette for many years in the Harvard community.

Growing up the grandson of Polish immigrants, Ken learned to love and appreciate his heritage, not only for the ethnic traditions but the amazing cuisine and Polka music. His appreciation for his Polish heritage allowed him to share meals consisting of perogies, kielbasa, and sauerkraut, as well as Polish Polka dancing with his beloved family.

Upon graduating from Cathedral Latin High School in 1957, Ken pursued a higher education at Fenn College, before entering the industrial field. His skills allowed him to work for several companies. He dedicated many of his working years to Lester Industries, from which he retired.

On May 15, 1999, he married Judy Hudson and for the past 24 years, Willoughby Hills, Wickliffe and Richmond Heights became their home.

As a huge history enthusiast, and proud Veteran of the Army National Guard, Ken truly valued being a member of the 19th Ohio Independent Battery, Ohio Light Auxiliary, and participating in Civil War reenactment events in many states.

As a Cleveland native, Ken was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Indians. Since the name change has been rooting for the Cleveland Guardians all the way to the ALCS this year.

Ken’s kind and big heart allowed him to be the best grandpa to his grandchildren. His fun nature and ability to create unique activities allowed his grandchildren to enjoy many memorable moments with him. His devotion to family also extended to his many fur companions, including his beloved dogs Frodo and Buddy, who greeted him at the Rainbow Bridge.

On November 11, 2024, Ken passed away leaving his family to celebrate all the unique characteristics and treasures that made up the man they love.
