KENNETH R. BRANDES age 69, was born on December 22, 1946 in Cleveland and passed away on October 26, 2016. He was the beloved husband for 46 years of Giovanna (nee Ulizzi); loving father of Christine Vidmar (husband David), Bridget DeLembo (husband Pastor Dan), and Kenneth N.; devoted grandfather of Jordin, Antonio, Madison, Cameron, Sydney and Gianna; dearest brother of Lois Nelson and Betty Lewis; fond brother-in-law of Frank Ulizzi (wife Barbara) and the late Bernice Kirchner (husband Doug); dear uncle and great-uncle. U.S. Navy Veteran.

Kenneth was a resident of Wadsworth for 10 years, previously of Mentor. He was a member of Radiant Life Church in Wadsworth and belonged to Calvary Assembly of God in Willoughby Hills before moving. Kenneth graduated from Collinwood High School in 1965 and joined the Navy.  After the Navy, he worked as a Facilities Engineer and also for the church.  Kenneth was a Senior Commander of the Royal Rangers and also founded Recon Ministry to Native Americans.  Kenneth was an outdoorsman and enjoyed camping and fishing.  He was an avid Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavs fan.  Kenneth got the most enjoyment in life from time spent with his grandkids.  He will be remembered as a good husband, father and grandfather and as a hard-working, faithful man with high integrity.  Kenneth will be greatly missed.

Celebration of Life Service Monday, October 31, 2016 at 11 AM at Calvary Assembly of God. Burial following with Military Honors at Mentor Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Kenneth at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 2-6 PM and MONDAY 10-11 AM at THE CHURCH.
