Katie M. Sanguedolce

Katie M. Sanguedolce age 53, beloved wife of Jeffrey Barto; cherished daughter of Michael D. and Patricia (nee McCrudden) Dwyer; dearest sister of Michael P.  Dwyer, devoted aunt of Dakota, Dillon, and Mick Dwyer; treasured daughter-in-law of Lawrence Barto (wife Karyn) and the late Laurie Broadwater (husband David), dear sister-law, niece, cousin, and friend of many. She is survived by her K9 companion Tillie.

Katie was a lifelong resident of Chardon. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and graduated from Chardon High School in 1986.  She worked as the office manager for Sivon Manufacturing in Perry.

She enjoyed gardening and shopping. She was an avid hockey fan and enjoyed attending games. She was a proud season ticket holder for the Cleveland Monsters.  She was also a fan of the Cleveland Browns and Indians.  She enjoyed 80’s music, especially Bon Jovi and Rick Springfield. She loved taking rides on the back of Jeff’s Harley.

Katie was beautiful inside and out. She was a very positive person. Katie saw the good in everyone she met. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a sunny disposition. She was caring, giving and generous.

She will be dearly missed by all.

Prayers of Christian Burial Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Katie at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.)  WEDNESDAY 4-8 PM.
