Kathryn A. Mitchell

KATHRYN A. MITCHELL, "Kimmy", passed away on August 28, 2021, in Geauga County, Ohio, following a battle of metastatic breast cancer.

Kathryn was born on November 17, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio and made Thompson, Ohio her home. She graduated from Jane Addam's High School and continued through life wearing many hats. Kimmy was a model and beauty contestant in her youth and continued in that line of work as a beautician and business owner. She also expressed her love for entertainment as a singer and songwriter, performing at various locations in the Cleveland area. Kimmy's beauty went beyond the service. She had a knack for listening to others and making them laugh. Kimmy was a huge fan of Barbara Streisand and William Shatner, enjoyed vintage shopping, trips to the casino, and spending time with her family and friends. 

Kathryn is survived by her brother James M. Mitchell, many cousins, and many nieces and nephews. She was the beloved daughter of the late Harry M. and Angela (nee Wojciechowicz) Mitchell and sister of the late Harry J. Mitchell.

Family and friends are invited to gather and pay tribute to Kathryn on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 4-6 PM at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91). 

A Celebration of life service will immediately follow at 6PM. 

Please meet for a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, October 12, 2024, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 16550 Rock Creek Rd, Thompson, OH 44086, at 11AM.
