Kathleen Wilk

Mass of Christian Burial for Kathleen Wilk (nee Crowley) , 93, will be on Friday , December 23, 2011 at 9:00 AM at The Church of St. Mary, 401 North Street, Chardon, OH. Mrs. Wilk passed away Tuesday under Hospice care at her home.

Katie, as she was known by many, worked as a department head of both the EKG and EEG departments at Lake County Memorial Hospital. She loved her Irish heritage and traveled many times to Scotland and Ireland. She traveled all over the United States and many other countries. She was an avid reader and loved walking. Her legacy will remain with her wonderful stories told, her keen sense of humor, her strength and determination along with her strong religious devotion.

Mrs. Wilk is survived by daughters Stella Neil, Patricia (Jerome) Flick, Annette (William) Moore and Rosalind (Dale) Cesen; cherished grandmother to Jonathan, Juliet, Kelly, Dallah, Dustin and Kerry and beloved great-grandmother to Ethan, Lauren, Caden, Mallorie, Kaitlin, Brooke, and Hugh; loving aunt of Rosemary Crowley and David Delaney.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents John and Rose (nee Kinsella) Crowley, her brother Jerry, sisters Peg, Rose, Bessie, Nora, and her beloved son Kenneth.

Family and friends will meet at the Church at 8 AM on Friday prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kathleen’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44106.
