KATHARINE A. WILLIAMS (nee Andrus) age 91, beloved wife for 62 years of the late Joseph Aloysius Williams Jr.; loving mother of Mary Katharine Zellner (husband Larry) Joseph Aloysius III (wife Becky), Sharon Ann Cross (husband Steve), Andrea Lynn Gentry (husband Bill), Mark Andrus (wife Shauna), Margaret Elizabeth Sciuva, and Katharine Elizabeth Downie (husband Joe); devoted grandmother of 23, great grandmother of 44, and great-great grandmother of 3; cherished daughter of the late Colonel Burton Curtis and Katharine Elizabeth (nee Stebbins) Andrus; dearest sister of the late Burton Curtis Andrus Jr., Dorothy Winslow Andrus Barnes, and John Stebbins Andrus; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Katharine was born on August 23rd, 1928 in Ft. Monroe, Virginia and passed away on December 28, 2019. She studied physical education at the University of Colorado in Boulder, where she met her husband Joseph. They married on June 26, 1948 in Nutley, NJ. They were residents of Ohio for 42 years, and raised their seven children in Chagrin Falls, Ohio while parishioners of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. They then retired together as residents of North Carolina for 17 years, living at Tryon Estates in Columbus, NC, and were parishioners of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tryon, NC. Katharine remained the heart of her family throughout her life, and enjoyed golf and sewing. She also provided Meals on Wheels and other generous services to the Catholic Church during her lifetime. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, January 3, 2020 at 10 AM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 496 E Washington St., Chagrin Falls. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Katharine at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) THURSDAY 3-5 & 6-8 PM.
