Karl Rudl

KARL RUDL 90, passed away on August 28, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Marija “Mara” (nee Skebe); loving father of Anita Virgo (husband Jerry) and Gregory; devoted grandfather of Kathryn and Joseph; cherished son of the late France Breg and Romana Rudl; dearest brother of the late Silvia and Milko; dear uncle and brother-in-law.

Karl was born on July 27, 1932, in Maribor Slovenia. He emigrated as a very young man to Canada and worked the rail lines until he settled in Toronto with his wife Mara, whom he married September 7, 1959.  As a family, they moved to Cleveland in 1969 and eventually settled in Richmond Hts.  Karl’s greatest joy was his family. He happily babysat the grandkids for many years proving to be a fun loving generous “Papa K”. He was truly a man of many abilities at home and at his job in the Pilot Plant at Lubrizol, where he worked for many years. He loved golf and taught his son everything he knew about the game, including the knack to just enjoy the fresh air and beauty of the course and the appreciation of being together on a beautiful day.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 10 AM at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 140 Richmond Rd, Euclid, OH 44143.

A Private Burial will follow. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Karl at the church SATURDAY from 9-10 AM.
